Avilon Zoo Day Trip at Rodriguez Rizal

Life in the Metro is quite boring if you've been here  for a while all you'd see are houses and buildings, That's why we would like to share our trip to Avilon Zoo in Rodriguez Rizal.

Just an hour away from metro manila, Avilon Zoo (or Wildlife Conservation Foundation) is located in Rodriguez (former Montalban), Rizal. It's a 7.5 hectare zoo opened to the public in 2004.

Compared with other zoos in the country, it claims to have the largest collection of animals today (with more than 3000 specimens!).

What we liked in particular about Avilon Zoo are the big arapaimas it has in its lake and the opportunity to have a picture taken either with one of its orangutans (named Trixie) or snakes at a low price (Php 50 only).

With Trixie

Aside from this, other fun activities they have include feeding the giraffes, the arapaimas. some barn animals, and, of course, taking selfies or group pics as long as you please. and that7's what we did

7.5 hectare? Avilon Zoo is huge! In fact, there were times we had to rest first. Good thing there were benches and rocks scattered all over the place that we could sit on.
For food they have a dedicated food courts at the entrance and in the middle part of the zoo next to the primates, so you dont have to worry getting hungry while inside and they have a wide variaty of snacks to choose from ranging from Php50-300 regarding on your choice.

Avilon zoo in conclusion is a good place to spend your weekend thats not too far away from the metro, childrens would enjoy the activities offered at the zoo and will sure have a wonderful experience. It’s a great place to visit, especially if you’re an animal lover or you love to learn.
